Silvana Bravo is an Agricultural Engineer and Doctor of Science with a mention in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of La Frontera, Chile. She works as an academic at the Institute of Animal Production of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the Austral University of Chile. His areas of work are: animal production; molecular markers in domestic animals; technology and quality of meat, and meat products; organoleptic evaluation of meat and meat products; and morphological assessment of domestic animals. He has extensive experience in the sheep species, carrying out work on genetic diversity, morphological characterizations, identification of SNPs in genes associated with prolificacy and fatty acid synthesis, use of agricultural by-products in sheep feeding, preparation of meat products, organoleptic evaluation. of meat and meat products, among others. He has also worked with molecular markers associated with traits of productive interest in bovines.
