Gudrun Martina Kausel is a Doctor of Science from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany. He did post doc in Belgium and France. She was a professor at the University of Botswana, Africa, and is currently a professor of Biochemistry at the Institute of Biochemistry and Microbiology of the Faculty of Sciences of the Austral University of Chile. It sponsors undergraduate and graduate students, conducts International Summer Schools in epigenetics and synthetic biology, and open science for education. With transdisciplinary groups, he investigates the regulation of gene expression in polyploid organisms, neuroendocrine biomarkers for the early detection of endocrine disruptors in the aquatic environment; and characterizes raw material, as well as the brewing process with methods of biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology. The above, with national and international funds. Promotes international collaboration, through research projects and as an academic representative of the German DFG Research Foundation for Chile, in all areas of science.
