Rodrigo Díaz is a Bioinformatics Engineer from the University of Talca, Chile. He is currently in charge of the Documentation and Information Unit of the Germplasm Bank Network of INIA Chile, as well as its distribution processes. Participates in the development of continuous improvement processes of this Network, highlighting the implementation of the Grin-Global tool, to manage the availability of plant material, allowing searches and requests for germplasm to internal and external public of the institution. It has generated various informative articles and databases, related to the use of native plants and characterization of phytogenetic materials; information that is available on the Internet. It has also developed applications for data collection, establishing a control system and documentary support for the procedures of these INIA banks. In addition, he has participated in research projects, carrying out protein modeling and knowledge generation from the area of bioinformatics.
