Carolina Pañitrur D.

Carolina Pañitrur is an Agricultural Engineer and PhD in Agricultural Sciences. He studied at the University of Talca, Chile, and at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) in Bordeaux, France. She is a researcher and in charge of the INIA Base Seed Bank since 2018. Her lines of work are the conservation and valorization of plant genetic resources, with an emphasis on the Native Flora of Chile. He has participated in international courses on seed bank management, such as: "International Course on Germplasm Bank Administration" (Mexico, 2018) and "Seed Conservation Techniques" (United Kingdom, 2022); and has led more than 15 projects related to seed management and conservation. In addition, he has coordinated and participated in the execution of various seed collection courses, for conservation and propagation purposes, as well as in the preparation of sheets and information on seed collection and propagation of native plants, among other technical-informative publications.
