Chirlei Glienke is a professor in the Department of Genetics at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Curitiba, Brazil. In 1991, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Biology at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul; master's degree in Genetics at the Federal University of Paraná, in 1995; and PhD in Genetics at the University of São Paulo, in 1999. He completed two postdocs, one in Fungal Phylogeny at the CBS Fungal Biodiversity Center in Utrecht, Netherlands, in 2009, and another in Genetics of Plant-Pathogen Interaction at the University Martin-Luther-Halle-Wittenberg, Halle, Germany, in 2015. He has experience in Genetics, with an emphasis on Molecular Genetics of Microorganisms. She is the author of 83 complete articles in scientific journals and three chapters of published books. In addition, she is a member of the GT_SISGEN (SISGEN Working Group) and head of UNIBIO (unit on issues related to biodiversity and genetic heritage) of the UFPR.
