Patricio Hinrichsen is a Biochemist from the University of Concepción and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Since then he has worked as a researcher at INIA Chile, standing out in the development of biotechnology and agricultural genetics. In his 30-year career, he has directed more than 70 undergraduate, master's, doctoral theses, and postdoctoral projects. He has published 90 scientific papers in mainstream journals (H = 27) and is the author of one patent. Its main areas of work focus on fruit growing and native species, with special emphasis on the vine, addressing issues that range from the study of its genetic diversity to the identification of genes associated with fruit quality.
